I was probably way more excited for this week’s assignment than I had any right to be. We were supposed to pick 10 books from our bookshelf and type out the first and last sentences of each one. I chose these totally at random, so there is no real order to it…organized chaos, I believe is the correct term.

The judge to the criminal.
The lord to the subject.
The master to the slave.
Our mortal enemy,
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Deadly weapons at our throats.
The threads of life frayed.
Time holds the knife.
Tick.. Tock.. Tick.. Tock..
And with it,
He ends a life.
